I dont see anything like this (eyewitness reports on Pacifica tend to sometimes be over-the-top) on the front page of Le Monde or La Liberation. Of course, I am still waiting for them to come out with their morning online edition. Maybe we should not jump the gun yet. The most I can find is this paragraph from Le Monde about some young pro-aristide people who are accusing France, Canada and the United State for encouraging Aristide to give up power:

Les militants pro-Aristide, les "Chimères", se déplacent armés de pistolets et de machettes, chantant des slogans pro-Aristide et menaçant de couper les têtes de leurs ennemis. Très agressifs, ces jeunes gens pénétraient dans des maisons privées à la recherche d'armes et se livraient à des pillages dans des résidences d'anciens dignitaires du régime. Ils accusaient également les gouvernements du Canada, de la France et des Etats-Unis d'être responsables du départ du président Jean-Bertrand Aristide, pour l'avoir encouragé à quitter le pouvoir pour assurer le retour au calme.
