This observation about activists does come from my experience. And I have spoken with other people who have noticed the same thing. It is a trap that almost all activists fall into at one time or another. It is understandable. It is especially prevalent among those who belong to groups that want to have hegemony over a movement, since they feel the need to convert everyone to the "right" way or should I say the "only" way. Of course, even if one does not necessarily belong to such a group, there is this desire to have others see the world in exactly the same way we do. Call it the religious impulse, or proselytizing impulse, if you will: the impulse to save everybody's soul in the same way as your soul was saved.

I dont really know what a "reflexively

twitched-out auto-psycho-descriptive word-habits" are but I suspect that your statement is not a compliment.
