TBILISI - Georgia will not allow US military bases on its territory, newly elected Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili announced at a press conference today.
As to the Russian military bases located near the towns of Akhalkalaki and Batumi, the president expressed confidence that Russia and Georgia would soon come to a consensus regarding the terms for withdrawing the Russian military from Georgia.
