Good idea (general strikes are pretty hard to pull off, though).

Another serious question: if Bush & Co. are going to impose martial law, what troops are they going to use to do so? Are they going to pull the troops out of Iraq? That would sort of defeat the purpose, I think.

In addition, will the troops used to impose martial law obey orders? I don't think that the average GI Joe/Josie at this point would care much for going into action against their fellow Americans who just want to vote.

In further addition, how would imposing martial law to cancel elections make Bush more popular? Seems to me it would rather defeat its purpose, again.
