You know, it's easy to bash food co-ops when your biggest concern is navigating your parent's mercedes into the garage at the family estate before bad weather hits [re: Chucky's "blog": http://chuck.mahost.org/weblog/index.php] but for poor people, they help. Yes, there are problems with social welfare services and within co-ops, but they aren't *the* problem - capitalism is. In fact, they are part of a social safety net that helps ameliorate the conditions of wealth and allows for further struggle to be broadened and revolutionized.

When they said "schools are jails" they meant "THEIR schools are jails!" not "all schools are jails".
