personally, jks, i'd like to see that person's finger off the button, then treat him. the act of seeking treatment doesn't guarantee a stable mentality.

i think what you illustrate here is the problem of giving too much power to one individual. as Lincoln said, "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." too bad we can't -- or won't -- test for character before conferring power.

apparently JFK and LBJ worked out their testosterone poisoning -- if there is such a thing -- the old fashioned way rather than pushing the red button. at least LBJ had sense enough to know when to quit.
