The margins are much wider than the party faithful and the ABB movement wants to acknowledge.
If you serve up a Republican candidate, not only are you going to lose Independents, but Democrats on the edges (esp. from the anti-war movement).
I listened to parts of the convention, but I didn't pay close attention. These spectacles don't make much difference. I learned that lesson in 1984 as a Young Democrat.
And it looks like Bush and Co. have come out of the gate with an interesting offensive strategy.
