Doug posted an article that read, in part:

"The panties have this way of just mobilizing, energizing, inspiring," said Tasha Eve, a cultural anthropologist who co-founded the Axis with one of her best high-school buddies, Zazel Eve (as an act of sisterly solidarity, Axis members all use the last name Eve when they are in Axis mode)."

Here's something fairly similar:

"...When the pre-Islamic Arabs went to battle, Arab women seeing the men off to war would bare their breasts to encourage them to fight; or they would do so at the battle itself, as in the case of the Makkan women, led by Hind at the Battle of Uhud."

I've got mixed feelings about women baring their tits/underwear/whatever to rile up demonstrators. I can see how it would be "liberating," but some women also bare their goods to cheer on jock-thugs in football teams, or worse. These women may feel "liberated" too, individually, but it seems like there could be problems with this, from a feminist/left-libertarian viewpoint. Me, I'm not certain which way I lean on it.
