The one an only time I was within fifteen yards of Ronald Reagan was when his limousine was pulling out of University Hall underground parking and turning down Center Street. Governor Reagan was beating a hasty retreat from a Regents meeting that was under siege. For some reason the cops were in the front on University. We were running along Fulton from behind the building and got there just as the first car came up the ramp. We were throwing rocks in high arcs to get the distance and they were raining on his motor caid like hale.
