this was my small point yesterday about why some "middle-class" folks vote what might appear to be against their interest: they think it will be in their interest when they cross that line to the favored class promised land of the american dream.
haven't we discussed this phenomenon before on lbo-talk? sorry if i missed some coverage of this, yesterday . . .
