Oh well, beyond the physical sense I would readily that I don't exist. But that isn't what he said, he insisted that we must abandon our "backward" belief in self. My "self" is a real physical thing, having a definite mass. If I were to foolishly follow his advice and abandon my belief in this real physical existence, I might become prone to all sorts of nasty accidents with unfortunate consequences not only to my own "self", but to anyone else I should go crashing into.

So he's talking codswallop.
