The same group, for the most part, also believes in evolution... aside from a rather vocal minority. It kind of breaks down like this: Q: Is the garden of Eden real? A: No. Q: But, is it true? A: Yes.
This is why I can't quite agree with the project of hermeneutics and the search for meaning. Freud was right about religion.
