[lbo-talk] Illinois Republican pressured wife to have public sex

i was listening to steve edwards interview this guy on 848 (chicago public radio program), this morning, and i have to say it was really really annoying to see how riled up people get about sexual "perversity" rather than the policy perversity of public officials. everyone has to jump on the bandwagon. it's jerry springer politics. and steve was relentless and this guy just took it, instead of asking him, "what the fuck business is it of yours?"

then (like hitch) they complain that it's about "honesty", when such things become irrelevant in policy discussions, because, you know, sometimes we just disagree, but all this nasty sex stuff is bad bad bad wrong wrong wrong.

right?
