I don't disagree with that as a general statement. Of course, extra-electoral activity is vitally important. But voting is the only way to transplant Shrub from the Rose Garden. Unless one wants to try a little storming-the-Winter-Palace type of action. In which case, one mustn't forget to bring along one's Kevlar vest. And say good-bye to Momma before you leave.
