I think that the release came from US Labor Against the War. Anyway, yes, it's true that this passed unanimously; as far as I could tell, there were no "nays." Somewhat more controversial (though it also passed overwhelmingly) was the resolution that pretty much endorsed gay marriage. Originally it was expected that this resolution would oppose a constitutional amendment against gay marriage, but the resolutions committee ended up strengthening it considerably, producing a resolution saying that same-sex partners should be accorded the same set of civil rights otherwise associated with marriage.
