McDonalds, Coca Cola and the dreadful mental pollution oozing from Hollywood - or its clones - can now be found all around the globe, crowding out local products.
Wojtek --- Uh, not in Russia. There are probably about 100 Russian fastfood outlets (Kroshka Kartoshka, Stop-Top, Rosskoye Bystro, Rostik's, etc. etc. etc.) per 1 McDonald's or Pizza Hut. Russian radio does have a lot of Western pop music, but the majority of popular music is Russian-language. Soviet movies and horrible Central American soap operas are just as popular on TV as Hollywood movies.
Incidentally McDonald's Russia is Canadian-owned. They have a contract in which they have to use all Russian-grown produce. They are always hiring, mostly university students as far as I can tell. Actually a McDonald's employee earns more than a doctor.
