TITLE: Executive Director

ORG. TYPE: A human rights organization with a $1 million+ operating budget

LOCATION: Brooklyn, NY

SALARY: $80k - $100k

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This organization is seeking an energetic, experienced, and visionary Executive Director whose passion is the promotion, protection, and enforcement of economic and social rights in an international and domestic setting. The Executive Director will manage a staff of 6-8 persons and will be reporting directly to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include: fundraising, organizational and personnel management, budgeting/accounting, public representation at events and other venues and program development/supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An advanced degree, preferably in law, with an expertise in economic and social rights is required. The applicant must also have proven skills in management and public speaking, excellent skills in writing and in articulating new approaches to economic and social rights advocacy / enforcement. Fluency in a second language is preferred.
