This is beautiful. Angleton thought Gorbachev was a fraud, designed to trick us into disarmament. If Ledeen is turning to a dead paranoid for support, they're really in trouble.

Leeden is the fellow who said "Every ten years or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business." Evidently he didn't figure that the CLCs can hit back.
