At the CFR yesterday, Nader called for a U.S. military and corporate withdrawal from Iraq by year-end; the creation of a new peacekeeping force from neutral countries, including some Arab/Moslem ones; and internationally supervised elections by next year. Not exacty what the U.S. Out Now! crowd would like to hear. The CFR audience, while not enthusiastic, didn't seem too scandalized either.
One Council member overheard at the end of the speech: "He's very persuasive, but I wasn't persuaded."
