The "Hillary is gonna run in 2008!" thing has been a big right-wing fascination for years. A few months ago on NPR, DNC leader Terry McAuliffe made fun of the phenomenon. He said she had no plans to do so.

The notion of "Slick WIllie" & Hillary running DC is something the right is just weirdly obsessed with. Remember the controversy about Wesley Clark? He was supposedly the Clintons' proxy in the Pres. race of 2004, intended to defeat Kerry and Dean so that the Clintons could vicariously get back into the White House.

A right-leaning relative of mine even floated the notion that Hillary didn't want Kerry to win so that she would have a better chance in 2008 after 4 more years of a Repub president. You would think that almost all evil in the world somehow redounds to somethign those dastardly Clintons have done--or are doing!
