Ah yes, I remember it well. A girlfriend in college appealed to me for funds to help her friend (who had become pregnant by her black boyfriend) get an abortion. I contributed $7.00. I still have the canceled check. The girl was instructed to meet someone in a car by the side of the road, who drove her to an undisclosed location and deposited her several hours later where she had been picked up.
