Whether or not I know anyone in public life that is more or less liberal than Obama is immaterial. Obama came out in support of Bill Cosby's "personal responsibility" rant didn't he? That's not exactly an "extremely liberal" position to take. He supports raising the minimum wage to a whopping $6.50 and has not said he wants it indexed to inflation. He supports pursuing and killing our enemies overseas. All moderate stuff. I stand by my assertion that he is a mildly progressive moderate. I imagine he holds more progressive views than most of the Senate but that is placing the bar pretty fucking low.
