the south and significant chunks of midwest/west have all the military bases -- or a lot of them, right? that's a worry. i was quite serious about red staters devouring themselves if they got their way and, instead of allowing that to happen their christian evangelicism is bound to encourage the leadership to turn their aggression outward, looking for an outside Enemy Other to unify them. (and even if that doesn't happen, if the Rapture Queens have anything to say about it, they'll be gunning for the ME anyway. Which reminds, won't we want to keep their dirty paws of the ME.

I think I have some thoughts for a Planet Apes Alternative Ending sequel though. I joke, but I"m serious about this potential for war and how many bombs, nukes, aresenals, etc. are we going to let them have?
