For sure, but: 1) polls have changed over the last 15-18 months, to being more hostile to the occupation, and 2) there's also the evidence gathered by journalists like Christian Parenti, who, unlike any of us, has talked to scores of Iraqis and heard things similar to what the pollsters found. Neither the pollsters nor CP found Iraqis shy about expressing their opinions.
