-Don't even start to go there. Most of us thought Gore would win handily, -so the point was to mobilize around Nader and help create a space for a -viable third party. Gore did win -- and then handed the election to the -Repugs.

Justin has told me its ungentlemanly to say I told you so, but I also said four years ago that Gore was personally a putz and would manage to lose the election if left to his own devices, which is why progressives had to mobilize so hard to win. And unfortunately, as evidenced by the LBOer attitudes, they would not, so Gore would lose the election. I made a bet on that basis with Seth Ackerman, as some might remember, in order to challenge just that complacency.

So if you took Gore winning for granted or thought his losing wouldn't make a difference, or both, you share responsibility for Bush running the world for the last four years.
