We're the WMD
As my son sits in Iraq writing letters asking, "Why are we here, Mom? They hate us," I can't help but wonder why the American public does not realize they were lied to about Iraq. George W. Bush, the "war president," is willing to sacrifice our best and brightest but couldn't fulfill a commitment to the National Guard. Cheney received five deferments from military service and has profited financially through his former company Halliburton.
My son wrote recently about new recruits anxious to "get some." They flagged a civilian vehicle through only to have it fired upon, killing a 6-month-old baby and her 70-year-old grandparents.
Yes, we have found the weapons of mass destruction, and they are us!
