Strange. On a 2-year old computer, I had more problems getting Windows 2000 to recognize my hardware (e.g., network card) than I did when I installed Mandrake 10.0 (Linux variant). Believe it or not, Linux is getting there (granted, not as user-friendly as a Mac, but getting there).
