It's not a question of national countries anymore. It's a question of multinational regions -- the EU and East Asia would prefer to see a peaceful transfer of hegemony. But if the US oiligarchy goes completely off the deep end, the new metropoles could easily transform their current account surpluses into domestic consumption. Toyota does not depend on US consumers any more than Airbus depends on US airlines.

Thats just rhetoric. The reality is that everyone with half a brain knows the US Empire is done, and the scramble is on for a shot at becoming the next hegemon.
