I'm in a work crunch and don't have time for a Google expedition, but 
really, this falls in the category of "generally known" news -- not 
conspiracy mongering...not anti-zionist stuff.

If I get around to it, I'll post what I find. I do remember for sure 
that NYT ran a story on it.
