I'm not a defender of capitalism, liberal or otherwise, as Charles knows, and I do not ignore the failings and crimes of liberal democracy as it has evolved underr capitalism. But I'll take 'em over Charles' preferred Stalinism. I won't argument the point -- it's been decided. Sorry, Charles.

This is another one where there isn't any point in back and forthing -- not only aren't either of us going to budge on this, but neither of us are going to change anyone else's mind. So there's no point in debating the merits of liberal capitalism versus Soviet Communism, and I won't do it. If you reply to this, you will have the last word in the discussion.
