I don't know if my horse is high or low, but (as you know from MLG
and PEN-l at least), of all the listservs to which I have posted the
same US Campaign action alert, this is the only one where the
petition encountered odd charges of "fundamentalist intransigence"
(at
<http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/pipermail/lbo-talk/Week-of-Mon-20040920/021097.html>),
risk of "supporting religious fascists" (at
<http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/pipermail/lbo-talk/Week-of-Mon-20040920/021056.html>),
etc. Everywhere else, people either quietly signed it or didn't sign
it, without announcing to the whole world why they can or cannot sign
it, much less bringing up the aforementioned irrelevancies.
