The mention of "Post Modern thought" reminds me that there were days when it was a major topic of conversation, but the bubble has decidedly burst, here as well as elsewhere. The topic of Blacks and whites has also fallen in frequency on LBO-talk, if not elsewhere. I believe it peaked with long threads on the Black Radical Congress here. "Feminists" (2010 results) have been indeed often mentioned, but feminism doesn't appear to become the central topic of a thread with any sort of regularity, nor have there been too many "icks" uttered about either. "Maosim" (190 results in the archive) and "Maoists" (374 results) never quite measured up to "Leninism" (742 results) and "Leninists" (444 results), but it may make sense to add the former to latter as variants. "Zombies" (only 65 results) have suddenly popped up of late, but I don't expect them to return very often. "Crisis Theory" (115 results) and "Value Theory" (188 results) do recur, but they appear to be specialized concerns, not quite in the same league as "Islam" (1841 results), "Muslims" (1616 results), "abortion" (2773 results), and "Nader" (5310 results, topping "liberals" [3600 results], "Marxists" [3288], and "conservatives" [2426] all!). "Civilization" (1214 results) is pretty big, but that's counting both everyday (e.g., <http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/pipermail/lbo-talk/Week-of-Mon-20040913/020270.html>) and polemical (e.g., <http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/pipermail/lbo-talk/Week-of-Mon-20040913/020618.html>) uses, and the same goes for "economists" (3315 results). In the case of "imperialism" (5616 results) and "empire" (4983 results), they certainly merit inclusion in the Book of Icks, though many of the results are more descriptive than polemical.

As for posts about yours truly, Daniel Davies once did a mock statistical analysis of a (now departed) list member's posts: <http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/2000/2000-January/000333.html>. Still very funny. -- Yoshie
