Didn't Levi-Strauss say that the incest tabu was unique in that, while all cultures have it, they all have it in a different way? E.g. in some cultures sex with male cousins is tabu but with female cousins it isn't, that in some a widow is obliged to marry her dead husband's brother while in others that is considered obscene, etc.
