yes...they certainly would be to most of humanity (if they knew about them) since that group is composed of a much larger number than might ever use a word like "egregious"...
which is why i suggested a poll comparing issues of everyday reality with notions like the "diminishing speed of light", which is a fascinating thought for some of us, especially those who don't have to spend too much time working for survival, while things like rent and food procurement tend to loom larger for the bulk of the six billion...
