Immense amounts of power are needed to grow much beyond the grower's own
needs. Tractors. Combines. Manure spreaders. Trucks to carry manure from
where it is produced to where it is used.
Organic farming probably needs as much if not more power than current farming does. The only gain would be in use of petrochemicals for fertilizer and pesticides, but that makes up a small part of agricultural use of power.
Drying grain is a real drain on power.
