Thanks for posting this article on the brutal class war that has been raging
in Colombia for the last thirty years, at least. But as usual this kind of
news doesn't attract much attention in this list, despite that his is a US
supported war under the Plan Colombia approved by the Clinton Congress and in
which the US has spent 4 billion so far.
The article refers o the civilian massacres carried out by right wing
paramilitary units organizes by a coalition of landlords and industrialists of he
Medellin area known as the Syndicate and to whom he present President Alvaro
Uribe, who is to he right of ZBUsh, belongs to.
In addition,Uribe, as ordered by Washington, i carrying out an immensely
destructive program of fumigation based on the utterly destructive chemical
Glyphosate which is causing major ecological devastation.
It is sad that in spite of the Colombian class war being of a destructive
order higher than that one in Iraq, it doesn't carry much weight neither in the
main stream nor the small left press.
