Infantile leftism, V.I. called a close relation of this view. We aren't going to do this, and if we did today, it would probably be a balls-up because last time I checked, no one really has a clue how to run a socialist economy. (I mean, I have ideas, but everyone here disgareess with me. Anyway the skills, which are won in struggle, are lacking.) Moreover, there is no reason to think that this sort of problem, could be easily or automatically avoided under a working democratic socialism. Socialism is not a panacea, and it insults the intelligence of the working class and destroys whatever shreds of credibiluty we may have among whatever slivers of it where we are are not held in hate and contempt to treat it as if it were.
