There are no debtor prisons in the US, Kelley. If you have no property, even if he wins a judgment against you (which is a big if), that judgment is worthless - unless you come to some serious money later on, but in the meantime there is always the bankruptcy. So I would not loose too much sleep and money over this issue - even if he gets a judgment, simply file for bankruptcy while you still can, but above all get a decent and honest legal advice.
