In an old job when I did a lot of driving and I could use Tim Horton's
coffee as a prescription stimulant, I was very good at calculating the
relationship between; time of day, driving time likely (adjusting for time
of year), type of coffee (decaf, regular or flavor) and sugar/creamer ratio
necessary to make sure I didn't wind up, say, flying into a bridge abutment
at 150 mph, much as the late Tim Horton actually did. Of course he was
hammered at the time. Brush with stupidity; a friend in university had
relatives who lived next to said abutment and would take you down to show
you the holes in the cement caused by Tim's last drive.
Seriously, there is something physically in that coffee, how else to
explain the regular huge line-ups at the drive through and inside at every
location? They opened one downtown here and it's regularly packed. I tend
to prefer 2nd Cup blends, less harsh and addictive.
Me, I avoid Buttf***ks, quoting Paulie Walnuts, first, because the coffee
burns holes in my GI track, second, as a comedian up here said, every time
I go in there it reminds me what the world would look like if the Nazis had
won.
