Noam does understate the numbers killed, yes.Which he had to know were much larger. My mistake with the lack of distinction between individual massacre as part of a larger series of events comprising a pogrom.
Again, will Noam reason with Edward Herman and Diana Johnstone that far more than 199 muslims were killed by the Serbs in Srbrenica? Was 7,700+.
Noam as anti-Leninist libertarian socialist has a sliding, inconsistant set of standards in enumerating and ewvaluating the crimes of US Imperialism, massive as the are (2.8 million dead Vietnamese, 500K indonesia, 200, 000 Guatemalans, etc and (or inconsistant esp.Milosvic) enemies of US Imperialism, such as his "review" of the Black Book of Communism ( I myself don't agree w/the 100 million killed figure of ex-Maoist ed.of that book S. Courtois) or the two vols. of the Political Econ. of H.R. w/Herman full of KR and pro-Khmer Rouge sheeit by Malcolm Caldwell, himself killed by the KR, George Hildebrand and Gareth Porter.
Willy, I'll ignore your consistant hostility ;-) Having been called in the last five days, a, "Agent Provocateur, " by a British Labourite who Scott McLemee remonstrated with, a, "DoD stooge, " and, "Mole, " by a Green Party activist...who a few hrs. later announced to that list she was going to bed early so as to be rested enough for her talk at the U.S. Army War College the next day, I am rather sick of being attacked even more than usual.
