Heh, one attack from Willy deserves this hilarious bit
>From the Daniel Aaron text. Get the reprint with the intro. by Alan
Wald, the Trotskyist. Willy would have fit right in on the staff of the New Masses which regularly attacked Trots and Socialists like A. Phillip Randolph as Fascists. I'll gravitate to the WSJ editorial pg. inananities when Willy does, which is never.

Course, Pound was a Fascist but, I send this as more of an example of Willy G/Fast rhetoric.

"Howard Fast was an expert practitioner of the decay-and-disease school of Communist polemic. He could write of Ezra Pound's Bollingen Award: "Like a foul fistula, overloaded with pus, this corruption exploded in the presentation of the Bollingen-Library of Congress award to the fascist poet, Ezra Pound." Literature and Reality (N.Y., 1950) p. 18.
