A friend of mine who is significantly disabled and cannot work just had her Social Security disability cut from $890 per month to $777. This is in part due to Schwartzenegger's refusal to give a cost of living adjustment to people on SSI but it is also due to changes in federal computations of which I'm not quite sure exactly how they did this. It is appalling. My friend is in very serious trouble now. She has no budget for food.
