Chip quotes:
> Why is it we don't have the same hesitation about a
>magazine that becomes an idiological organ for male
supremacy.
Why is Hustler an organ for male supremacy?
Is Inches an organ for queer supremacy?
Then an article was referenced that contains the following:
> As an Asian woman, I found the racist stereotypes
used in certain genres of pornography particularly
oppressive.
So? Some people play with stereotypes and find them liberating. To each her own.
&
> Pornography encourages people to disregard others'
pain for one's own pleasure.
I have NEVER disregarded anyone's pain, especially when I was responsible for it. Pornography encourages people to support the festishes and desires of others, even if they do not share them.
Then Chip concludes:
>I agree with Stan Goff and Sonali Kolhatkar.
But they didn't say anything. LOL. They merely asserted an unproven thesis.
> It doesn't make me narrow minded, against broad
coalition building, or a prude.
Actually, it does. If you agree with their (non)understanding of pornography, then you are narrow-minded since you do not seem to be able to understand sexuality that is beyond your personal tastes.
