On Behalf Of Yoshie Furuhashi

True, but it would be interesting to think which country is likely to come out relatively unscathed in the event of a US economic meltdown (if the housing bubble bursts and/or the balance of financial terror gets upset). Which country is secular, relatively prosperous, rich in fossil fuels, and the least dependent on the US economy? -- Yoshie

Norway.

------ I moved to Australia back in 2001. Don't regret it at all. Lots of sun, surf, great wines (try the Margaret River reds), in fact, Perth has all the benefits of living in the climate of a San Diego without Republicans and a San Francisco with a warm ocean to swim in. Public transit is cheap, fast and reliable. Fresh fruit and veggies are always available. Medical care is governmentally subsidized. Plus, most of the population speaks English and that population is quite diverse. In Perth, you'll find Africans, Asians and Europeans all living together with relatively little friction.

Best,

Mike B)

P.S.

Don't mean to slight the beer either. Coopers Sparklin Ale is the best of the best.
