The purpose of Horowitz's bad database is to smear mainstream leftists with associations to radical leftists, terrorists and the bogeyman under the kitchen sink. It's not meant to be an accurate mapping of the left--the FBI would throw this database in the garbage if it was presented to them.
Hell, I'm not in the damn thing and I am one of the more prominent anarchists around.
The database is based on how Horowitz looks at the Left with his 60s glasses. He thinks that people who get their names in the news are the leaders, when on the radical left things just don't work that way. ;-)
