Almost scarily, we at MR decided in late November to print in our
January issue Rosa Luxemburg's May 1902 article on the eruption of Mt.
Pelee, that wiped out in minutes the city and population of St. Pierre,
capital of Martinique in the west indies. What she has to say on
imperialist hypocrisy 100 years ago now screams again from each day's news.

Also worth attention is stuff we put up a day ago on the prosecution of
_leftist_ protestors in China. What i find most interesting is that
there is now a vigorous left internet presence in China, apparently
growing with great rapidity. These pieces are translations from Chinese
posts put up in the last week or two.
