Speaking of the mormons. Sir Richard Burton (linguist extraordinaire, translator of the 1001 Nights & various Arabian erotica, discoverer of the source of the Nile, first white man to go to Mecca, etc., etc.,) actually travelled to Utah and wrote an "anthropological" type book about the mormons and the settling of Utah. Probably a very good book. The guy was smart as hell and very open minded.
