from my memory (and from a few web searches that confirm my memory) this seems to be an incorrect use of the word "cross-post", which on usenet and mailing lists has denoted posting the same material to more than one destination (newsgroup or mailing list). something i did not do (and i dont see anything in ulhas' mail to suggest that he does that either).
given that on usenet cross-posting was a bad thing to do, i am curious about your referring to our posts as "cross-posts". do you object to content being forwarded from news sources, to the list?
i believe there are +ve and -ve arguments on this issue (and i tend to fall on the side of lenience towards fwd'ed material). if the list charter, owner or a majority of the members feel differently, it would be useful to know.
