[lbo-talk] Low Life (was "Come friendly bombers" )

I live within two blocks of the mosque that many of the WTC bombers attended in Jersey City. After September 11, the only violence I saw in the streets around here, aside from the machine gun armed government forces on each corner 24 hours a day, was fighting between Indian Hindu kids and Egyptian Moslem kids.

I did not interview any of them so I don't know much more than that. Side bar, all of the Coptic churches in the area quickly added English language signage to the front of their buildings after one of them got shot up.

There is no conflict between _Hindus and Muslims_in India. The conflict is between secular Indians (Hindus + Muslims + Sikhs + Christians + Jains + Budhhists) and non secular/fascist Indians (Hindus + Muslims etc.). To say that there is a conflict between Hindus and Muslims is to concede too much to the fascist viewpoint. Similarly, there is a conflict between secular Pakistanis and fascists one in Pakistan. Ditto for Bangladesh. The principal conflict is between secular and fascist viewpoints, and not between Hindus and Muslims.
