Hitchens, speaking recently in San Francisco (SF Arts and Lectures series, broadcast weekly on kqed-fm. I listen over their WWW conection) got special pleasure near the end of the Q&A, in telling the audience that Jalal Talabani in the leadership of the post-Jan. regime and leader of the the Patriotic Union Kurdistan, have been paid up members of the Socialist Int'l. for decades.

Perle, when a staffer for Sen Henry "Scoop" Jackson, addressed meetings of Social Democrats, USA, as I saw one day perusing their newspaper, New America, at the Stanford library, along w/ Walter Laqueur.

But, no, heh, this is not what they foresaw. Should I e-mail David Frum? DFrum at aei.org

And, again according to Juan Cole, over a hundred Iraqi PM's have called for US withdrawl. Some puppets, eh.
